Heidi Thornton’s journey is one of resilience, service, and determination. At 26, when her father—a proud Green Beret—passed away, Heidi put her career on hold to raise her two younger brothers, who were just 14 and 16 at the time. She often says she “raised a Marine,” after her youngest brother went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps. Later, after surviving a traumatic home invasion in Phoenix, Heidi made the courageous decision to move to Las Vegas and rebuild her life with purpose, carrying with her the strength, compassion, and discipline shaped by her military family background.

Alongside her personal journey, Heidi has spent more than 20 years as an entrepreneur, successfully building and running two businesses. She knows firsthand the dedication, leadership, and perseverance it takes to create something lasting—and she brings that same drive into every client relationship. Her ability to connect with people, understand their needs, and provide solutions has been at the core of her success, both in business and in life.

Heidi has focused her career on helping families navigate retirement planning, Medicare, and life insurance with clarity and confidence. Her personal experiences have instilled in her a deep understanding of the importance of security and preparation, which she now passes on to her clients. Today, she and her husband, Matt Thornton, co-founded Safe Haven Financial Management. Heidi considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients, helping them protect what matters most and build a future they can feel confident about.
